News Letter 5845-053
29th day of the Tenth month 5845 years after creation
The Tenth Month in the Sabbatical Year
The Second Sabbatical Year of the 119th Jubilee Cycle
January 16, 2010
Shabbat Shalom Brethren,
Well, I did it again. In the News Letter last week I gave you a URL so that you could read the article on Wake Up America by my friend Stephen Spykerman. Well, it did not work although I checked it, so I am going to post again the correct link to Stephen’s article from last week: https://sightedmoon.com/sightedmoon_2015/files/WhoRUAmerica.pdf
That article, plus the article I have for you today, is going to be a lot of reading. When you finish this study you will know most of the history of our people that you never were taught in schools.
I also want to thank many of you. I have been harping about the conspiracy theories that many of you were engaged in. After I told you how it was being a false witness, my emails have gone from about one hundred down to ten per day. There are only a couple of people who still send this garbage to me, and I now just delete them without reading their emails. Thank you all.
I did receive this encouraging email this week:
Although I have written to you before, I wanted to write and thank you for all of your dedication and hard work you do to inform others. For many months, I received your newsletters and never really read them. Now, I am addicted and cannot stay away. It is such exciting information – and I thank you from the bottom of my heart. I know it is not easy to be in your shoes and I can feel that from this distance. I am basically in the same position and it is difficult to explain. I am learning so much and am so excited! Thanks again for all your hard work and know that it is appreciated as you are a very bright star in this bleak world! Blessings to you and yours. CW
Brethren, keep sharing these articles with your friends and family. It may take a while but it will eventually pay off. Never give up.
This week and next we are going to travel through time. One of the things I have wanted to share with you all is the vast amount of information I have on the ancient foundations of our people. We have looked at some aspects of this over the past few years and recently again in the past few weeks, yet this does not but scratch the surface of history.
With Passover soon coming and the many teachings about the Exodus, I have always wanted to show you what the Exodus never talks about. Now I can and will. I have found an article by the United Church of God which covers this topic as well as any other I have read. As you read it, keep in mind the following information when you get to this part of the story: Jacob arrives in Egypt in 1599 BC and meets Joseph; the time of the Exodus taking place is 1379 BC, for a total time of 220 years. (You have to read the Sabbatical and Jubilee year charts to understand this and you can do so by ordering them at https://sightedmoon.com/sightedmoon_2015/?page_id=509 ).
A lot of things happened during this time and yet there is very little information about it. King Saul came to the throne of Israel in 1050 B.C., then King David in 1010 B.C. The only things we know that happened before that time are the Exodus and those events of the judges. However, there are some huge events that took place that affect us to this very day.
Last week we talked about the line of Zarah, and this week we are going to go into details. A lot of things happened before Moses left Egypt with the Twelve Tribes of Israel and that great multitude.
Thanks to my friend Ron Buhler who has found the footnote in the Chumash for me of the following; On Page 359 of the Chumash concerning Exodus 12:40 Rambam comments on Ephraim. The tribe of Ephraim believed that the 400 years of time that they would be in Egypt was started with the time when Yahweh made the covenant with Abraham. Based on this understanding, they set out for the land of Canaan 30 years before the Exodus by the northern route. The Egyptians slaughtered them. It is partly for this reason that 30 years later when Moses left with them they took the southern route, away from the Garrisons along the northern highway.
Sanhedrin 92b-‘ — Rab said: They were the Ephraimites, who counted [the years] to the end [of the Egyptian bondage], but erred therein,11 as it is written, And the sons of Ephraim; Shuthelah, and Bared his son, and Tahath his son, and Eladah his son, and Tahath his son. And Zabad his son, and Shuthelah his son, and Ezzer, and Elead, whom the men of Gath that were born in that land slew.12 And it is written, And Ephraim their father mourned many days, and his brethren came to comfort him.13’
1. They counted the four hundred years foretold by God to Abraham (Gen. XV, 13) as commencing there and then, whereas in reality they dated from Isaac’s birth, which according to tradition took place thirty years later. As a result, they left Egypt thirty years before the rest of Israel.
2. I Chron. VII, 20f. 20 The sons of Ephraim were Shuthelah, Bered his son, Tahath his son, Eladah his son, Tahath his son, 21 Zabad his son, Shuthelah his son, and Ezer and Elead. The men of Gath who were born in that land killed them because they came down to take away their cattle. 22 Then Ephraim their father mourned many days, and his brethren came to comfort him. 23 And when he went in to his wife, she conceived and bore a son; and he called his name Beriah, because tragedy had come upon his house. 3. Ibid. 22.
Then I found this Jewish commentary on a Yahoo group site. http://groups.yahoo.com/group/toratimecha/message/522?l=1
We have already seen that both the miraculous redemption from Egypt and the more natural redemption from Babylonia included phases of reversal and disappointment that seemed to interrupt the redemptive process and call it into question. One of the most tragic disappointments experienced by the Israelites in Egypt, the premature emigration of the Tribe of Ephraim, actually preceded the Exodus.
According to our sages, members of the Tribe of Ephraim attempted to calculate the end of the Egyptian exile and erroneously fixed the date 30 years early. So certain were they of their conclusion and so eager for redemption that 200,000 armed tribesman of Ephraim left Egypt by force 30 years before the Exodus, only to be slaughtered by the Philistines at Gat, where their corpses were left to rot. (Mechilta and Targum Yehonatan on Shemot 13:17; Sanhedrin 92b.) One can well imagine the skepticism aroused by the memory of that catastrophe when the true redemption got underway, which may account for the Hebrews’ recurrent suspicion that Moshe had taken them out of Egypt only to have them die in the desert. In fact, the sages inform us that God did not lead the Hebrews on the direct route from Egypt to Israel, which passed through the Land of the Philistines, precisely to avoid arousing their deep-seated fears by exposing them to the traumatic sight of the bleached bones of the Ephraimites along the way. (Id.)
I do not remember the source, but I do recall reading that the day the Ephraimites were slaughtered, 50,000 men died – 50,000 men were killed by the Egytians. I was unable to confirm the sources he sites above.
In Numbers 1 we are told that a census was taken of the men ready for war of each tribe of Israel in the second year after the Exodus. Ephraim had 40,000 men. The only tribes with fewer men were Manasseh with 32,000 and Benjamin with 35,000. All the other tribes had more: Rueben had 46,000, Simeon had 59,000, Gad, had 45,000, Judah had 74,000, Isaachar had 54,000, Zebulun had 57,000, Dan had 62,000, Asher had 41,000 and Naphtali had 53,000. Yet Ephraim and Manasseh, who had the special blessing, had the least amount of men.
I suspect that one of the reasons that Ephraim had the idea to leave was because of certain other groups of Israelites who fled and got away successfully before this time. Those men were of the tribe of Judah and they were of the line of Zerah. We read of them in I Chronicles 1: 6. The sons of Zerah were Zimri, Ethan, Heman, Calcol, and Dara – five of them in all. Yet after that we do not read of these sons any more. Why? This week’s article will help to answer this and much, much more.
I found the following quote in one of my old articles: https://www.sightedmoon-archives.com/archived-newsletter/
Sighted Moon News Letter 5843-044
11th day of the Tenth month 5843 After Creation
December 22, 2007
P. 27 Dardanus left Egypt BEFORE the Exodus: “Dardanus is said to have BUILT TROY about THIRTY-FOUR YEARS BEFORE THE EXODUS.” (British History Traced from Egypt and Palestine, by L.G.A. Roberts)
So, the first thing to remember is that they fled an Egypt that was becoming more enslaving upon them. Ephraim was slaughtered trying to leave as others already had done. Those others who fled would later set up city states, and create laws and codes based on what they remembered from the teachings of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. None of those who left before the Exodus had any of the laws from Mount Sinai. However, they did have some of those things from pagan Egypt. This is where you begin to see they mixed some truths in with other stories. Later, when they do meet the Israelites, we again see that some things are changed to become closer to the truth, but these later fade with time, not having the true foundation from the start.
One more point to consider when you are reading this. Joseph died in the year 1528 B.C. The Exodus took place in the year 1379 B.C. It was just 149 years after Joseph’s death that the Egyptians had forgotten all that he had done for them. For us in North America it would be the same as forgetting the start to the Civil War in 1861, or the Assassination of Abraham Lincoln in 1865, or his Gettysburg address in 1863 or the battle of Little Big Horn, Custer’s Last Stand in 1876 or just before Canada became a nation in 1867. In Europe it would be like forgetting the Battle of Waterloo in 1812, or the Battle of Trafalgar in 1805. For those of you in Australia it would be like forgetting the gold rush years of the mid 1800’s, when Australia was flooded with new immigrants.
We will be covering the following connections to our family tree: Spanish, Greek, English, Irish, Norwegian; Denmark, France and even some of India. As you read this go to each of the Appendages as they are suggested and read them as you go. This is the most fascinating story. Truth is always more interesting than fiction, and it is our story.
There is one question I would like to leave you with as you read this: Yahweh promised David that he would always have a King to sit on the throne. So, where is that King of Judah today? You are about to find out.
“The Sceptre shall not depart from Judah nor the Ruler’s Staff from between his feet until Shiloh come; and to Him shall the gathering of the peoples be!” Gen. 49:10
“For thus saith Yahweh, David shall never want a man to sit upon the throne of Israel, Jeremiah 33:17
With this information as a backdrop to what you are about to read, I hope you enjoy the awesome history of our ancestors. I hope you will read it with an atlas so you can look at the places being spoken of, along with the Sabbatical and Jubilee Chronology so you can see where it all fits according to Yahweh’s Sabbatical Cycles. Again, you may order one at https://sightedmoon.com/sightedmoon_2015/?page_id=509 .
