Shalom Family,

Today is the 19th day of the counting of the Omer. It is a very special day, this 19th day.

Each year we show you, as we count to the Omer, how it is related to the Sabbatical and Jubilee year cycles.

This current Jubilee cycle began at Aviv in 1996. It was both the Jubilee year and it was also the 1st year in this the 120th Jubilee Cycle since the creation of Adam.

Shavuot (also known as “Pentecost”) is 49 days or 7 weekly Sabbaths, counting from the Wave sheaf day during the days of Unleavened Bread; and then on the first day of the week is the 50th day. This is known in Christianity as “Pentecost Sunday.” It is found in Lev 23 as one of the Holy Days we are to keep:

Lev 23:15  And you shall count to you from the next day after the sabbath, from the day that you brought the sheaf of the wave offering; seven Sabbaths shall be complete.

Lev 23:16  To the next day after the seventh sabbath you shall number fifty days. And you shall offer a new food offering to Jehovah. 17  You shall bring out of your homes two wave loaves of two-tenth parts. They shall be of fine flour. They shall be baked with leaven, firstfruits to Jehovah. 18  And you shall offer with the bread seven lambs without blemish of the first year, and one young bull, and two rams. They shall be for a burnt offering to Jehovah, with their food offering, and their drink offerings, a fire offering of sweet savor to Jehovah. 19  Then you shall sacrifice one he-goat for a sin offering, and two lambs of the first year for a sacrifice of peace offerings. 20  And the priest shall wave them with the bread of the firstfruits, a wave offering before Jehovah, with the two lambs. They shall be holy to Jehovah for the priest. 21  And you shall proclaim on the same day that it may be a holy convocation to you. You shall do no work of labor. It shall be a statute forever in all your dwellings throughout your generations.

When we read the description of the Jubilee years, it is very similar to that of Pentecost:

Lev 25:8  And you shall number seven Sabbaths of years to you, seven times seven years. And the time of the seven Sabbaths of years shall be forty-nine years to you. 9  Then you shall cause the trumpet of the jubilee to sound on the tenth of the seventh month; in the day of atonement, the trumpet shall sound throughout all your land. 10  And you shall make the fiftieth year holy, one year, and proclaim liberty throughout the land to all its inhabitants. It shall be a jubilee to you, and you shall return each man to his possession, and you shall return each man to his family. 11  That fiftieth year shall be a jubilee to you. You shall not sow, neither reap that which grows of itself in it, nor gather in it of your undressed vine. 12  For it is the jubilee. It shall be holy to you. You shall eat the increase of it out of the field.

It is my belief that the counting of the Omer is an annual reminder of where we are in the Jubilee Cycle of Yehovah.

Each year we are reminded, during the days of counting the Omer to Shavuot, of the exact years we are in the count towards the next Jubilee year. The count to Pentecost is the same as counting to the next Jubilee year.

I am sending this out early for our brethren in Asia and Australia. This coming Wednesday evening, at sunset May 7 until Thursday evening at sunset  May 8, 2014, is the 19th day of counting the Omer. It is also the day that corresponds with the current year which is the 19th year as we count towards the next Jubilee year.

This current year, the 19th year in this Jubilee Cycle, is the fifth year in the third Sabbatical cycle. This year is 5850 years after the creation of Adam based on the Sabbatical and Jubilee years.

In 2 Kings 19:29 we are told of the 49th year which fell at 701 BC, and the 50th year was in 700 BC. When we put this information, along with all the other known Sabbatical years recorded in history, we are able to know that 1996 was both the last Jubilee year and the first year of this count. The same as the 50th day of Pentecost is also the first day of the week.

This means that Aviv 1, 2014 was the beginning of the 19th year and that the next Jubilee year will be in 2045.

Today is the 5th day of the 3rd week of seven weeks. Today is the 19th day of the counting of fifty days from the day of the waving of the Omer on the morrow after the Sabbath.

Psa 67:1 Elohim does favor us and bless us, Cause His face to shine upon us. Selah.
