News Letter 5845-021
25th day of the Fourth month 5845 years after creation
The Fourth Month in the Sabbatical Year
The Second Sabbatical Year of the 119th Jubilee Cycle

July 18, 2009

Shabbat Shalom Brethren,

In the news this week here in Canada, health officials are preparing to be over whelmed by the number of H1N1 Swine flu cases expected this fall. There are not enough flu vaccines to go around, so they are going to decide who is going to get it and who is not. Are you ready? Have you ordered your face masks and hand sanitation bottles or are you going to wait until they run out? Are you getting your body healthy by eating right? Are you praying for your family? Are you obeying Yahweh?

We have been warning you now since August 2005, and very few have believed this message. The third stage is now here. Do you believe the Sabbatical and Jubilee year Prophecies yet, and do you believe the Prophecies of Abraham are going to happen, or do you still deny it. Are you telling others about this?

Two weeks ago I asked you all to plan on fasting on the 9th of Av when the curse of the 40 years of wandering was given to the Israelites after they returned from spying out the land. I am asking you to do this fast asking Yahweh to open a door so that it will be possible for His people to return to the land now in our day. As it stands only Judah can return to the Land of Israel and Ephraim is not currently allowed. Our fast coincides with the rebellion of Israel who did not want to go into the land. In which group are you, the two who wanted to get going or the rest who were too afraid to go forward?

I have just realized something else. In the following article by Don Dalhover, that after the covenant was made at Shavuot and ratified that it was just 40 days later that the incident of the golden calf took place. This would have been on the 16th of the fourth month or July 9, 2009. This is during the time that Israel rebelled against Yahweh. These 40 days which conclude at Tish B’Av or the 9th of Av which this year is August 1, 2009, are our testing period. Please keep this in mind as you pray.

Then I recalled that one of our readers sent in an article from The Elijah Prayer Army. In that article was the following. Please note the dates used in this article are according to the Hebrew calendar and will be two days earlier than the sighted moon and Barley calendar.

The Time “Between the Troubles”

July 9 is Tammuz 17 on the Biblical calendar. This day is described in Zechariah 8:19 as “the fast of the fourth month”. On this day begins a period of 21 days called in Hebrew Bein Hametzarim “between the troubles” or “between the dire straits.” This period of mourning ends on the 9th of Av, in the Bible called “the fast of the fifth month.” This year 9th of Av is falling on July 30.

During this season of 21 days between the fasts of the fourth and the fifth months, many tragedies have befallen the Jewish people, the latest of which was the expulsion of all Jews from Gaza in 2005. (Technically the expulsion was later postponed by Sharon until the day after 9th of Av to avoid the comparison.)
The rabbis teach that five major tragedies have happened on the 17th of Tammuz,

1. It was on this day that Moses broke the first set of the Ten Commandments because of the people’s sin with the golden calf.
2. On this day the sacrifices in the First Temple ceased because of lack of sheep under to the siege of Nebuchadnezzar.
3. The Romans breached the walls of Jerusalem before the destruction of the Second Temple.
4. A wicked Roman ruler named Apostumus burned a Torah scroll.
5. An idol was erected in the Holy Temple.

Likewise, on the 9th of Av five major tragedies have happened,

1. The ten spies returned with a bad report discouraging the people from possessing the Promised Land.
2. The First Temple was destroyed.
3. The Second Temple was destroyed.
4. The last fortress of the second rebellion against Rome, the city of Betar, was destroyed and tens of thousands of Jews died.
5. The Romans ploughed up the site of the Temple.

During the long Jewish Diaspora over the past two thousand years, many other tragedies have also taken place on the 9th of Av.

1. The first Crusade was declared on this day in 1095.
2. King Edward I expelled all Jews from England in 1290 on this day.
3. All the Jews in Spain were expelled on this day in 1492.
4. Pope Paul IV moved all the Jews in Rome into the first ghetto on this day in 1555.
5. WW I began on this day in 1914.
6. The Nazis made the decision on this day in 1942 to implement “the Final Solution” and kill all Jews in Europe.

Times of Restoration

Zech 8:18-19 promises that one day these fast days will be turned into days of joyous festivals.
“Again the word of the LORD Almighty came to me. This is what the LORD Almighty says: ‘The fasts of the fourth, fifth, seventh and tenth months will become joyful and glad occasions and happy festivals for Judah. Therefore love truth and peace.'”
This chapter in Zechariah begins by saying,

“Again the word of the LORD Almighty came to me. This is what the LORD Almighty says: ‘I am very jealous for Zion; I am burning with jealousy for her.'” (Zech 8:1)

Then it continues to outline the blessings that God will pour out on Jerusalem culminating in verse 14 and 15,
“This is what the LORD Almighty says: ‘Just as I had determined to bring disaster upon you and showed no pity when your fathers angered me [the sin with the golden calf and the evil report by the ten spies],’ says the LORD Almighty, ‘so now I have determined to do good again to Jerusalem and Judah. Do not be afraid.'”
It is usually during this time in the summer every year, between the fasts of the fourth and the fifth months, that international pressure against Israel to give up more land increases. We do not think that it is a coincidence that the G8 Summit this year begins the day after the 17th of Tammuz.
Acts 2:20 says, “The sun will be turned to darkness and the moon to blood before the coming of the great and glorious day of the Lord.”

The sun turning dark, speaks of a solar eclipse and the moon turning to blood speaks of a lunar eclipse when the moon becomes red. A solar eclipse is usually connected to God’s judgment on the nations, while a lunar eclipse has to do with the Jewish people.
Our friend Mark Biltz from El Shaddai Ministries in Seattle, WA has pointed out that for three years in a row: in 2008, in 2009 as well as in 2010, the sun will be turned to darkness on the same date on the Biblical calendar, right in the midst of the time “between the troubles” for Israel: on the first of Av! The War: Grace vs. Law

Don Dalhover

The war of Grace vs. Law is a war built upon a foundation that does not exist. Since everyone plays in the framework built upon this foundation, the war is always fought with the same weapons of misunderstanding. So, the same side wins the war every time.

I would ask you, the reader, to take a side in this war and allow me to present to you, a new group of weapons in which to fight this war with. I present the following for your consideration:

Do you love Yahshua (Jesus)? How do you show him you love Him? Most people state that they try to do the right thing. They do not say they do the right thing but, that they try to do the right thing. What is the right thing? Whose opinion of right do we use? Yahshua told us how we can show Him that we love Him:

Joh:14:15: If ye love me, keep my Commandments.

Does His request match the action of your behavior? If you follow your own opinion of right and wrong, will it match your understanding of what is a Commandment?

First, we need to discuss an issue: What is a Commandment?

Some say there are 10. Some say there are two because Yahshua said:

M’t:22:35: Then one of them, which was a lawyer, asked him a question, tempting him, and saying,
M’t:22:36: Master, which is the great Commandment in the law?
M’t:22:37: Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
M’t:22:38: This is the first and great Commandment.
M’t:22:39: And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
M’t:22:40: On these two Commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

So, before we take a step further, we must define what is that Yahshua meant when He said, “

If you love me, keep my Commandments.”

If we pretend there are only two Commandments then, let me ask you your opinion of the following:

1. If you love your neighbor as yourself, would you covet his wife? Would you covet his house? If you loved your neighbor as yourself, would you covet his donkey (car)?
2. If you love your neighbor as yourself, would you lie to him?
3. If you love your neighbor as yourself, would you steal from him?
4. If you love your neighbor as yourself, would you commit adultery with his wife?
5. If you love your neighbor as yourself, would you kill him?
6. If you love your neighbor as yourself, would you dishonor your parents?

Ok, let me turn this discussion on the other Commandment:

1. If you love the LORD (Yahweh) with all your heart, soul and mind, would you have another god before Yahweh?
2. If you love the LORD (Yahweh) with all your heart, soul and mind, would you make, have, or worship an idol which Yahweh has already stated that He hates?
3. If you love the LORD (Yahweh) with all your heart, soul and mind, would you use His name in vain?

If you have answered these question with a “no” answer then, you have answered exactly like every person I have asked up to this point. Everyone is in agreement that when Yahshua stated the two Commandments that He was really saying we need to keep the 10 Commandments. Oh,… wait a minute. I forgot one. I forgot one Commandment! I only count 9 Commandments above. Oh, here it is:

Ex:20:8: Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.
Ex:20:9: Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work:
Ex:20:10: But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates:
Ex:20:11: For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.

What do you think? If you love the LORD (Yahweh) with all your heart, soul and mind, would you observe Yahweh’s Sabbath Day (the 7th day)? This is what is considered by all to be the least of the Commandments:

M’t:5:19: Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least Commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

You have already agreed that we should obey the Commandments. This is one of them. So, you may say, “Wait a minute. Yahshua, during His ministry only mentioned 9 Commandments. He never said we need to keep the 4th Commandment (Sabbath Day). Therefore, we do not have to obey this Commandment.” First of all, if Yahshua could change any of the laws which came forth from the mouth of God then, He could have redefined sin, and Yahshua would not have had to die. But, he cannot redefine sin. Otherwise, we would not be able to trust him. If he can change His mind anytime He wants to then, we would never know where we stand with Him. Today it is not a sin to do such a thing but, tomorrow it is a sin… and so, you can never know what is an act of unrighteousness nor an act of righteousness. This would not make sense. Consider that and the fact that Yahweh said:

Mal:3:6: For I am the LORD, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed.

It is a fact that when Yahweh defined sin, He made judgments as to what is sin and what is not. When Yahweh makes a judgment that coveting is a sin, how long do you think it will be a sin to covet? Did you say forever? Very good. That would be the correct answer because, it will be a sin in Heaven to covet also. Ok, let’s flip this in reverse. If Yahweh made a judgment that coveting is a sin at Mt. Sinai then, it would make sense that Abraham also had to obey this Commandment. Since the covenant made with Abraham was realized 430 years later at Mt Sinai then, they had to be the same set of laws as those given at Mt Sinai. Well, then, was there ever a time when it was not a sin to covet? No. It was always a sin to covet. Coveting is an unholy act of unrighteousness. If Adam coveted, it would have been a sin also.

Let us consider then, that the Commandments are judgments and have always existed. And they always will. So, it was a judgment that the 7th day was blessed (made holy) and set apart (sanctified) in the beginning. When Yahweh sets something apart and makes it holy, who can make it unholy? Nobody. Will it always be holy? The answer is, Yes.

So, the conclusion of this matter is that Yahshua said, “if you love me, keep my Commandments”, that He meant all 10. And what else did He say? I mean, what happens if we do keep the Commandments?

Joh:14:15: If ye love me, keep my Commandments.
Joh:14:16: And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you forever;

That is right folks! If you keep the Commandments you will receive the Holy Spirit. I know that is not what is being taught. But, that is what is written, isn’t it.

Would you like Yahshua to make His abode with you? Would you like the Father to make His abode with you? What do you have to do to make that happen?

Joh:14:21: He that hath my Commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.
Joh:14:22: Judas saith unto him, not Iscariot, Lord, how is it that thou wilt manifest thyself unto us, and not unto the world?
Joh:14:23: Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.
Joh:14:24: He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father’s which sent me.

All you have to do is keep the Commandments. How simple can it be? This is the main theme running through the bible from front cover to back. It has never changed.

That being said, there are some that say, “I will not do it! I do not have to keep the Commandments because I am saved by grace.” Let me address this:

It is said that there are two trains going to heaven:
1. Saved through grace, it is a gift of God. You cannot earn it. If you keep Commandments then, you are not saved by grace because you are trying to earn salvation through good works.
2. If you keep all 613 laws of the Old Testament then, you can make it into heaven without accepting the sacrifice if Yahshua.

What is wrong with this? Both are wrong! Nobody ever got to heaven by observing all 613 laws (except Yahshua). Why? Because eventually, you will disobey one of the laws and now, you cannot enter because of your sin. Even Moses had the blood of the lamb as a sin covering. The blood of the lamb at Passover was poured on the alter as a covering for the sin of your family. How long did it last? One year and then it expired. That is why the Commandment says to do it every year. Was there a provision for the man of God who did not sin in that year that said he did not have to sacrifice another lamb at Passover? No, there is no such provision. Why? If you did not sin, why would you need to kill another lamb? Because it expired! OK, what happens when a man dies? Does he get to enter into the kingdom of heaven? No. Why? Because one year from the last Passover, the blood covering is now expired. And that is why no man ever entered into heaven through the blood of animals.

What about the person who says he enters into heaven by the grace of Yahshua, and not by observing any Commandments? There is a problem with this. The only way to show it to you is this way:

What must I do to be saved? Here is what I have been taught by every church I have ever been to:

Ac:2:37: Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do?
Ac:2:38: Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

The part my teachers focused on was the part that said to be baptized. Although they mentioned the repentance part, they never defined it so that we could know what laws to obey. They said we were saved by grace and did not have to keep any laws to be saved. Let me show another way this question was asked that gave a different answer:

Lu:18:18: And a certain ruler asked him, saying, Good Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?

This is the same question as: What must I do to be saved? Look at the answer:

Lu:18:19: And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? none is good, save one, that is, God.
Lu:18:20: Thou knowest the Commandments, Do not commit adultery, Do not kill, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Honour thy father and thy mother.
Lu:18:21: And he said, All these have I kept from my youth up.
Lu:18:22: Now when Jesus heard these things, he said unto him, Yet lackest thou one thing: sell all that thou hast, and distribute unto the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, follow me.

Here, Yahshua said to be saved you have to keep the Commandments. The misunderstanding in this set of verses is taught that you have to sell all you have also. This is not true. Look at what happened again:

1. The rich young Ruler asks, “What shall I do to inherit eternal life?”
2. Yahshua answers, “Obey the Commandments.”

If the rich young Ruler would have kept his mouth shut, he could have walked away knowing that he was going to heaven because he met the requirements. But, because he was rich, and young, he was also haughty and proud. He thought of himself higher than others. Certainly, obedience to just the Commandments is what everyone else had to do. He was a rich, young ruler which means; there must be something more that must be done so that, he can do that little bit more than everyone else to get in. And because of his haughtiness, Yahshua tells him “he” (the rich young ruler) has to sell all he has and give it away, and then come follow me. So, for everyone, we must follow Yahweh’s Commandments in order to enter into the Heaven. This came from Yahshua himself. And nobody is talking about it. So, can you get into heaven by Grace only?….NO!

So what about Grace then? Here is where everything gets messed up. Can we earn salvation? Salvation means saved from the effects of sin. No. Yahshua died for our sins. And there is not a Commandment that says it offers a covering from sin. That is why those who keep all 613 laws cannot enter heaven without the blood covering Yahshua offers. We must have a blood covering for our sins. It cannot be animal blood either. It has to be Yahshua’s blood. And you cannot get into heaven by just accepting the blood covering of Yahshua either. There has to be a commitment to keeping the Commandments. Even if you are a thief on the cross, your heartfelt repentance to stop sinning means that you are making a commitment to keeping the Commandments the rest of your life.

You cannot repent unless you are committed to keeping the Commandments. Otherwise, what are you repenting from? Sin. What is sin? According to the Bible:

1Jo:3:4: Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.

Can it be any clearer?

But, what law? If sin is the transgression of the law, which law are we talking about? The rest of this commentary is going to address this issue.

Did you know that Moses wrote 2 books that are considered “The Law” by the Apostle Paul:

1. The Book of the Covenant.
2. The Book of the Law.

In order to talk about the “Old Covenant”, I want to share a piece of information that only appears when Yahweh talks about the “New covenant”:

Jer:31:31: Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah:
Jer:31:32: Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they brake, although I was an husband unto them, saith the LORD:
Jer:31:33: But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people.

When did Yahweh marry the Children of Israel? At Mt Sianai:

Ex:19:4: Ye have seen what I did unto the Egyptians, and how I bare you on eagles’ wings, and brought you unto myself.
Ex:19:5: Now therefore, if ye will obey my voice indeed, and keep my covenant, then ye shall be a peculiar treasure unto me above all people: for all the earth is mine:
Ex:19:6: And ye shall be unto me a kingdom of priests, and an holy nation. These are the words which thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel.
Ex:19:7: And Moses came and called for the elders of the people, and laid before their faces all these words which the LORD commanded him.
Ex:19:8: And all the people answered together, and said, All that the LORD hath spoken we will do. And Moses returned the words of the people unto the LORD.

This is called the “Marriage Proposal”. Yahweh asks, “Will you marry me?” And the Children of Israel answer. “Yes!”

Three days later, Yahweh comes down on Mt Sinai with trumpets, lightning and thunder and gives the 10 Commandments directly to all the people with His own lips. After the 10th Commandment, Yahweh pauses and the people said they do not want to hear from Him anymore. They wanted Moses to go up to the mountain and talk to Yahweh. Whatever He says, they will do. And so, that is what happens. So, if you continue to read you will see that there are laws concerning:

Masters and Servants in Ex 21:1-11.
Murder and Injury in Ex 21:12-32
Laws and property Damage in Ex 21:33 through Ex 22:15
Obligations to society in Ex 22:15-31
Laws of injustice in Ex 23:1-13
Yahweh’s holy feast days in Ex 23:14-19

Then, in Ex 23:20-33 Yahweh promises protection and blessing to those who will obey these laws.

Now, the big event! That very day, Moses:

Ex:24:4: And Moses wrote all the words of the LORD, and rose up early in the morning, and builded an altar under the hill, and twelve pillars, according to the twelve tribes of Israel.

What do the words mean to you when it is written that “And Moses wrote all the words of the LORD…” What does “all the words of the LORD” mean to you? Only the 10 Commandments? Or, all the words from Ex 20 – Ex 23? There is really only one possible meaning and that is ” all the words from Ex 20 – Ex 23”. It cannot mean just the 10 Commandments. Why is this important? Because look what happens next:

Ex:24:5: And he sent young men of the children of Israel, which offered burnt offerings, and sacrificed peace offerings of oxen unto the LORD.
Ex:24:6: And Moses took half of the blood, and put it in basons; and half of the blood he sprinkled on the altar.
Ex:24:7: And he took the book of the covenant, and read in the audience of the people: and they said, All that the LORD hath said will we do, and be obedient.
Ex:24:8: And Moses took the blood, and sprinkled it on the people, and said, Behold the blood of the covenant, which the LORD hath made with you concerning all these words.

I now pronounce you, man and wife! This was the marriage. But, look at the name of the book Moses read from in verse 7, the Book of the Covenant. So, the words of Yahweh were written in a book called the Book of the Covenant. And to further prove this is a marriage ceremony, look at the following verses:

Ex:24:9: Then went up Moses, and Aaron, Nadab, and Abihu, and seventy of the elders of Israel:
Ex:24:10: And they saw the God of Israel: and there was under his feet as it were a paved work of a sapphire stone, and as it were the body of heaven in his clearness.
Ex:24:11: And upon the nobles of the children of Israel he laid not his hand: also they saw God, and did eat and drink.

And what do we call the meal we serve after the wedding? A wedding reception. Indeed, this is the wedding between Yahweh and the Children of Israel. It is also the Old Covenant.

Which priesthood is this covenant?… Melchizedek or Levitical?
Did you know that at the time this covenant was made, there was no such thing as a Levitical Priest? In fact, there is some interesting information located in Galatians 3 about this covenant:

Ga:3:15: Brethren, I speak after the manner of men; Though it be but a man’s covenant, yet if it be confirmed, no man disannulleth, or addeth thereto.

This says that once a covenant is ratified, you cannot add to it, nor subtract from it. Why? Because if you could change it, there would be no need to sign it. It would mean nothing. And you could not trust the other person. It would be worthless. Next:

Ga:3:19: Wherefore then serveth the law? It was added because of transgressions, till the seed should come to whom the promise was made; and it was ordained by angels in the hand of a mediator.

Here is a question for you: What law was added because of what transgression? Fill in the blank here:
The ___________ law was added because of the _____________ transgression.

No peekie!

Ready? The Book of the Law was added because of the golden calf transgression. Yes, there was no such thing as a Levitical Priest until the golden calf transgression broke the covenant. And it is sad that it took less than 40 days for the children of Israel to break the covenant. I am hoping we do better under pressure. I do have to admit, they were pretty knew at this covenant stuff. We have had years to practice our faith and learn as we go. They did not.

So, here is how this works:

1. The Book of the Covenant is written by Moses in Ex 24:4.
2. In Ex 24:12 Yahweh says he will give Moses two tables of stone
3. In Ex 25:16, 21 Yahweh says that the testimony (tables of stone) are to go into the Arc of the Covenant.
4. The two tables of testimony are called the tables of stone, written by the finger of God. (Yahshua is the only part of God that could commune with Moses, face to face as a man speaks to a man. Otherwise, Moses would have been consumed by the Father’s holiness. See Ex 33:20)
5. At the end of Deuteronomy, Moses writes all the words of “this law”. Deut 31:9
6. The new law is called the “Book of the Law” and is put in the side of the Arc of the Covenant.

There are two books:
1. Book of the Covenant: goes into the Arc of the Covenant.
2. Book of the Law: goes in a pouch on the side of the Arc of the Covenant.

So, what is the story? The Covenant was broken by the golden calf transgression. That is why Moses threw the two tables of stone on the ground and broke them…. What good are they? The children of Israel broke the covenant! It is no good anymore. So, up comes the Book of the Law (Levitical Priesthood). It was created as a Band-Aid to patch up the broken covenant until the Messiah could come and rebuild it in His own blood, not the blood of animals. Now that the covenant has been rebuilt, repaired, restored, do we still need to follow the Book of the Law (613 Laws)? Absolutely not! Yahshua was trying to get us to understand that if we love Him, obey the covenant! Not the 613! And certainly not the “Oral law”!

What about the Levitical Priesthood? It has fulfilled its duty and we are now back to the Melchizedek Priesthood. So we can throw out all of the Levitical law? NO. Think about it:

Yahshua said that we need to treat our neighbor as ourselves. If you run into a law that is located in the Book of the Law and it shows your neighbor that you love him, you should do it. And likewise for things that show Yahweh that we love Him.

I can hear you say, “Wait! What about the dietary laws? They are located in the Book of the Law in Deut 14. We do not have to do this?”

The answer is that if you go back to the days of Noah and ask yourself, “Self, how did Noah know what a clean/unclean animal was if there was no Levite to tell him?” The answer is that this must have been a Melchizedek Law if Noah knew it.

So, what about Grace? This is the weapon used by one side of the war. We are saved by Grace. We don’t live in Grace. Grace is something you receive that you do not deserve. Mercy is not receiving something that you do deserve. The Christian Church lives in Mercy, not Grace!

On the other hand, can we be saved by observing the Commandments? This is the other weapon used in the war; it is called the Law. Read the 10 Commandments located in Ex 20. Which one says that if you observe this Commandment, you will be saved? There is none! And that is what Paul was trying to get through to us when he said the law was a curse. Why was it a curse? Because sooner or later you will break one of the laws, and now you cannot go to heaven. Yahshua said:

Joh 14:6: Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

Facts are facts: The only way to the Father is through Yahshua. Obedience alone will not get you into Heaven. You need a blood covering for your sin.

Can we get into Heaven by just accepting the Gift of Grace through the blood covering that the blood of Yahshua provides? Not if you set your heart against keeping the Covenant Commandments. John Said:

1Jo:2:3: And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his Commandments.
1Jo:2:4: He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his Commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.

Now, to drive this point deeper, I would like to show some examples of both sides being used together.

1. On the day of Pentecost, there were 3000 men who accepted Yahshua. How come they were told that they needed to become obedient? They were 100% Jews, no Gentiles and they already were obedient to the Law which said that the devout men of God were to go to Jerusalem to observe Shavuot (Pentecost).
2. In Acts 4:4 5,000 were saved. Why weren’t they told to become obedient? Because they were all Jews and already were obedient. What they needed was a blood covering for sin that only Yahshua could provide.
3. In Acts 10 the first Gentile to be saved came to Peter. While Peter was explaining the gospel of Yahshua to him, the Holy Spirit came upon him and he spoke in tongues. How can this be if you have to accept Yahshua and keep the Commandments in order to get the Holy Spirit? Well, this man was Cornelius and he was obedient:

Ac:10:1: There was a certain man in Caesarea called Cornelius, a centurion of the band called the Italian band,
Ac:10:2: A devout man, and one that feared God with all his house, which gave much alms to the people, and prayed to God always.
Ac:10:22: And they said, Cornelius the centurion, a just man, and one that feareth God, and of good report among all the nation of the Jews, was warned from God by an holy angel to send for thee into his house, and to hear words of thee.

You see? Cornelius was already obedient! He just needed a savior to cover his sins.

4. In Acts 15 we have the infamous council at Jerusalem. What was the outcome? There were 6 things the new Gentile believer had to do:

Ac:15:19: Wherefore my sentence is, that we trouble not them, which from among the Gentiles are turned to God:
Ac:15:20: But that we write unto them, that they abstain from pollutions of idols, and from fornication, and from things strangled, and from blood.
Ac:15:21: For Moses of old time hath in every city them that preach him, being read in the synagogues every sabbath day.

a. abstain from pollutions of idols
b. from fornication
c. from things strangled
d. from blood
e. For Moses of old time hath in every city them that preach him (learn about Moses: learning about all the things that Moses taught and did like the Ten Commandments, the ordinances, statutes, and judgments of God)
f. being read in the synagogues every Sabbath day. (Observing Sabbath was a given to the Jews.)

Both the Grace of Yahshua and obedience to the Covenant Commandments are necessary to enter into the Kingdom of Heaven. The blood of the Messiah covers your sin and the obedience shows Yahshua and the Father that you love them. It is at this moment that you receive the Holy Spirit.

Certainly, if we are to be judged on Judgment Day, there must be a written set of rules we all must follow. I can see a problem brewing already for those who defend the Grace only side:

Imagine standing in line to be judged. And the guy before you was a “New Testament Christian” who did not “have to “ keep the Commandments. Now, it is your turn and you have been found guilty of breaking the law a multitude of times (you lived during the days of Moses). You say, “Wait a minute! That’s not fair! I have to obey laws he does not have to obey? How does that work? That is unfair!” And you would have a point. At that point you have just accused God of being unfair… and you would be right! God would not be just if He were to be a respecter of men.

Folks, what is it going to be? Is it so hard to obey the 4 chapters of the covenant that you refuse to keep them and have set your heart against doing so? Are you sure you want to continue down this road knowing that so many will not make it? How many?

Da:7:9: I beheld till the thrones were cast down, and the Ancient of days did sit, whose garment was white as snow, and the hair of his head like the pure wool: his throne was like the fiery flame, and his wheels as burning fire.
Da:7:10: A fiery stream issued and came forth from before him: thousand thousands ministered unto him, and ten thousand times ten thousand stood before him: the judgment was set, and the books were opened.

Who are the 10,000 x 10,000? If you say they are the saints who make it to heaven and this is the Great White Throne Judgment then, understand this:
10,000 x 10,000 = 100,000,000.

In the Fall of 2002 or 2003 the Jews made a declaration that it was a pivotal time in all of humanity: the same number of people that ever lived and died are the same number that are currently alive and walking on this planet, 6 billion people. So, if I add 6 billion people that are alive with the 6 billion people that are dead, we have 12 billion people that have been created so far. 1% of 12 billion people is 120,000,000. In other words, you are saying less than 1% will make it to the Kingdom of Heaven.

If you say that the 10,000 x 10,000 are the number of those who are saved during the Tribulation period, we are still talking about 100,000,000 out of 6 billion which is less than 2%. Big deal!!! It is still not very many!!! And if I think I am one of those people that make it to Heaven, I am against the odds. This has made me very sober in mind and in spirit. But then, I think, “Hey, I believe in both Grace and obedience.” When I slip up and sin, I know that I am forgiven. No wonder Satan makes war on the people that do this in the Book of Revelation:

Re:12:17: And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the Commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.

And they are called Saints:

Re:14:12: Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the Commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.

And these folks are not those who have the faith of Yahshua and keep the Commandments of God:

M’t:7:21: Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
M’t:7:22: Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
M’t:7:23: And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

If I can leave you with a heartfelt recommendation:

Read the KJV Bible from front cover to back, in order, one verse at a time. Dump all the Christianese you have been taught. There are no dispensations because Yahweh does not change. When you read something about the way Yahweh deals with people, pay attention. He is giving you a look at His character. And when you get to the New Testament you will notice that you cannot understand it unless you put it in a framework built by the Old Testament. Not one person in the New Testament was “New Testament only”. Look at the Covenant laws. They are easy! You would do them anyway because you love your neighbor.

Folks, let us sing praises unto Yahweh. He likes that! And I am happy to do it for Him.

May Yahweh watch over you and guide you in your spiritual growth and to know only the truth.

Shabbat Shalom
